no offence mate but if you think bevan was slow your tv must have been on slow moDasa said:I don't remember Bevan as being especially quick between the wickets...he was just an excellent judge of a run, and knew exactly when he could make 2 into 3 etc....so he was an excellent runner without having the speed of some others.
Of current players, Kaif, Hussey, McCullum, Collingwood are all very good.

He didn't mean to say that Bevan was slow, just not as fast as the likes of Mccullum.symonds said:no offence mate but if you think bevan was slow your tv must have been on slow mo
Exactly. Being a bit slower doesn't mean he wasn't a brilliant runner...as I said before, he is the best judge of a run I've seen.BlackCap_Fan said:He didn't mean to say that Bevan was slow, just not as fast as the likes of Mccullum.

I reckon Trescothick is one of the best in doing that.vic_orthdox said:Brad Hodge's ability to drop and run is world class.
But he usually just drops the ball on his stumps.Dasa said:I reckon Trescothick is one of the best in doing that.

Parore and Harris have probably been involved in more run-outs than McCullum. IIRC Cricinfo had an article on this and Harris was one of the worst in the world.thierry henry said:How is McCullum the best runner between the wickets? Being fast and turning 1s into 2s whilst routinely running out a couple of teammates every series does not amount to great running imo.
