Best pace trios (outside of WI of 70's and 80's)

There are fair few potent trios going around these days. Australia have a pretty effective one too: Cummins-Starc-Haze or Cummins-Starc-Pattinson. SA usually always have 3 quality pacers.

Steyn Morkel Philander was far more destructive than when Rabada joined.

If only they still had Abbott. The CC is proving to be far too easy for him.

I don't think Steyn, Philander, and Rabada played too many matches together. So even though Rabada is a better bowler than Morkel, the trio with the latter in it has the greater legacy.

Roach, Gabriel, Holder is pretty tidy. I mean, they're not at the level of Australia or India, but certainly still a very good trio

I was just thinking this exact same thing. And obviously, they're much more potent at home than outside. As a matter of fact, for the first time in years imo runs made vs them in the WI shouldn't count as cheap runs.

Interested in seeing how Rabada, Nortje, and Ngidi develop as a trio.
Been waiting for a trio like this from SA my whole life. They really should dominate test cricket.

Would love this trio to play next time I get to see them live. We’ll see
