These players are/were regulars in the ODI side but hardly got chance to play Cricket and whenever they got chance they couldn't live upto their ODI reputation.

Here is my list :-

Batsmen :- 1. Michael Bevan 2. Neil Fairbrother 3. Roger Twose 4. Nick knight

All-Rounders :- 1. Ian Harvey 2. Chris Harris 3. Robin Singh

Graeme Hick was superb in ODI's but never fulfilled his potential in tests.
The same could be said of Jonty Rhodes to an extent.

Yeah i'd say Bevan.

It was quite bizarre when Roger Twose just disappeared, he was still in good form but he went off the face of the earth. Apparently he is still living in NZ but for about 2 years he was brilliant in ODI's.

Roger Twose had an outstanding 1999 World Cup, heading New Zealand's batting averages with 79.50 across the tournament. The Wellington batsman has since concentrated solely on the one-day game and is considered a one-day specialist. He went to India for the ODI leg of the tour where he was New Zealand's second monst successful batsman, averaging 37.00 and against the West Indies averaged 57 including two 50s. he continued his outstanding form against the World Champion Australians, averaging 41.75. He completed the year ranked No.2 in the world for ODI batting. On the Winter tour of Zimbabwe he averaged 98.50 including three fifties, while in South Africa he wast he pick of the Kiwi batsmen, averaging 57.40 including one century and one fifty.

Source-a poster which came in the programme for the NZ vs Pakistan ODI, Christchurch. He subsequently retired (?) after this series.

And now that I check Cricinfo I find that this info is also on there, thus not actually requiring me to type it all off the poster which I did.

Harris? No way. Look at his record. It ain't good at all.

And he's not the Bevan of NZ like the people say.

Harris in his early days was very much one of the best one day specialists around...he bowled tidely, he was more aggressive with the bat & of course he's always been superb in the field.

But since around 2001 he's well and truly slipped.

Why is Jonty being included in this? He played quite a few tests and performed OK. He was never that good a batsman in onedayers to say that he underperformed in tests.

Bevan
Twose
Yuvraj

Why are we missing out Afridi . Useful bowler though and mid 20's average not too bad . and also 0.90 wickets per match .

Afridi doesnt count...he has a test 100 against india
Thenthere must be no bevan no jonty in this thread . What are you talking about dude . I think all the good players from odi circuit have had played test cricket. Odi specialists that I am talking about are those who are not regular part of the test sides of the country .
Then I guess your thread must be discussing dumb eglish ODi players or may be NAmibians or keneyans .
