ODI fielding is really not about dismissals. And Jonty won MoM awards multiple times JUST for his fielding. This is not even a contest.

Like I can't imagine he'd get too many MOMs where he didn't at least get some runs as well, even if his fielding was extra sharp that day. Like surely a duck disqualified you even if you take a bunch of catches

There was that game vs west indies where rhodes took 5 catches each one more difficult than the last.

Then again that's dismissals so dunno.

A fair few times Rhodes wasn’t the highest scorer when he was MotM but he always had a decent performance as a bat, ranging from 37 to 121.


He also had a MotM performance against all of Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe.

Pretty impressive to grab it against every test nation at the time except Bangladesh - only played 1 match against them.
