Sachin. Sehwag and Dhoni are the bookends, but SRT provides a real spine to the entire batting lineup which looks and performs markedly worse without him these days, despite all the stars.

Dhoni, easily.

He's an immensely versatile batsman, can promote himself up the order and cash in when the going's good, can come in with 5 overs to go and have a good tonk, can play the patient, anchoring game and nudge and hurdle singles when the situation calls for it, before shifting up a couple of gears and hitting it out the park, and he can anchor chases well and guide his team home to victory. His record when India win batting second is superb.

Can't see how its Tendulkar atm at all. He has played 2 ODIs for us in 2010. Got to be Sehwag now, will change if SRT plays more ODIs from now on.

He's the greatest one-day bat of all time, just because he skips a couple of meaningless ODIs doesn't mean he's not the best bat in the side anymore.

there shouldn be any doubt in this regard.. he may be playing fewer games, but they are highly important ones and he is winning it for us, make no doubt abt that fact .

IT IS SACHIN . period.
