On the Stephen Fleming issue - it's interesting that people comment that his captaincy appears to have deteriorated since Bracewell got in his ear. I sometimes wonder if the same could not be said about the period in which Denis Aberhart was coaching NZ. I've often thought that maybe Aberhart's contributions were a little undersold, and Fleming's perhaps a bit inflated at the time.
Any captain will always suffer and look a bit silly in the field when the opposition bats are making hay and you've run out of options, but Fleming to me often had a tendency to take his foot off the pedal and let games drift a bit, particularly when the team had made inroads into the middle-to-late order and it was time to close in for the kill. Anyhow, food for thought...
