This is no sort of official response from on behalf of all the moderators or anything, just something that I'd like to post. However:

To those who didn't get it, bad luck. And really, for most of you it was luck, because the majority of applicants would have made fine moderators, and I think that when the offical announcement comes, it will be proof of this.
