Baz cricket in test matches

What is Baz cricket?

England still have the same problem they have for years. A one note bowling attack which relies on seam and swing, take that away they will fail away as they have for so many years.

The batting isn't any better and still relies on Root and one other guy to be in form, in this case Jonny. Watch him fail soon! The openers are still useless and there is no settled middle order.

Bazball about to become loserball soon enough.
damn this is the exact post i made in the other thread except i rate jonny red but i think this guy rocks

"Bazball" will have a positive effect long term because McCullum won't tolerate being frightened of your own shadow or anything less than suicidal commitment in the field.

Those two things alone were always going to make England a better team, though I don't think we predicted the short term success....

Obviously it works, but honestly it's a bit infuriating to hear English fans / talking heads hype this as if positive, attacking Test cricket were some sort of newly minted invention cooked up by Brendan McCullum within the last few months specifically to coach the England team.

Rubbish from that lot grinds my gears itbt.
Run rate of 5 rpo across 4 matches against 2 best teams In the world scoring nearly 3000 runs after only winning once in 17 matches is the type of thing that actually hasn't been seen before.

Not worried about the last WTC final. Australia is currently the best team in the world on form, for mine.

And faster scoring to me, is to be expected over time, it's just how the game's evolving. Sure it's cool for an England fan that England would be the ones at the forefront of it at this current moment. However, given the modern trend in Test cricket since the introduction of limited overs cricket, there was always a dominant team pushing the envelope for attacking batting, be that the Australians, or the West Indians before them.
