Worst piece of commentary ever:

20.3 W	Baptiste to Kilkenny
Textbook forward defensive to a leg stump yorker; It's just a shame that the ball Kilkenny was actually facing was an inswinger which knocked off stump several feet back. OUT!
Doesn't make sense. Anyway, in a spot of bother here against Tharmi, his boys have pegged me back a bit. If I lose another wicket soon it's all over really.

End of Over 22: 113-3, runrate=5.14, reqrunrate=6.75 (301-5)
Dowdall 6-1-26-2
Griffin* 42 (45 balls)
Canning 1 (4 balls)
Last Wicket: Kilkenny b. Baptiste 41 (FOW: 110/3)

Edit: Griffin's gunning it now, just hit two sixes in a row to bring up his 50.

End of Over 26: 157-3, runrate=6.04, reqrunrate=6.04 (301-5)
Dowdall 8-1-46-2
Griffin* 71 (58 balls)
Canning 16 (15 balls)
Last Wicket: Kilkenny b. Baptiste 41 (FOW: 110/3)

Have scored 30 off the last two overs

Bit annoyed Tharmi's boys got over 300 against me. Fernando was very expensive at the death, went for over 80. My batting should be able to see me through though

End of Over 2: 15-0, runrate=7.50, reqrunrate=5.98 (301-5)
Dowdall 1-0-6-0
Tedstone* 6 (5 balls)
Farmer 9 (7 balls)
Looks like your still on top with Canning and Giffin at the crease, your top 2 batters right. If i can knock off one of these two sometime soon, im might be in with a chance. Looks like you flooded the middle a bit with Griffin, Kilkenny, Canning at 3 to 5, doesn't one of them usually open or they are all in the top 3. Very happy with the performance of my boys so far, some very good signs for the future.

End of Over 22: 113-3, runrate=5.14, reqrunrate=6.75 (301-5)
Dowdall 6-1-26-2
Griffin* 42 (45 balls)
Canning 1 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Kilkenny b. Baptiste 41 (FOW: 110/3)

Doing alright versus Vindscreen Vipers:

End of Over 33: 171-2, runrate=5.18, reqrunrate=4.59 (248-10)
Ferdinand 7-0-72-0
Mcmillan* 72 (93 balls)
Bhutia 72 (71 balls)

Bhutia just went nuts:
Code:
[size=2]32.4 	4	Ferdinand to Bhutia
Cut shot has seen a misfield out on the boundary, and that's four runs.
32.3 4	Ferdinand to Bhutia
Bhutia timed that to perfection right out the middle of the bat. If the fielding side had a whippet fielding he wouldn't catch that!
32.2 4	Ferdinand to Bhutia
Nonchalantly skips to the pitch of the ball and chips it back past the bowler for four.
32.1 6	Ferdinand to Bhutia
Premeditated stroke and that is a massive six. It may actually have gone out of the ground.[/size]
Macca had a good showing with the ball too, with 8.4-0-31-4, and Rayno chipped in with 10-0-47-3.

Lancs 236-5(43.3 overs) beat Sad Decadent XI(232ao) by 5 wickets.

Closer than it looks, was decidedly dodgy at one point. My reward is a pounding by Adam in the last 16

End of Over 40: 234-4, runrate=5.85, reqrunrate=6.80 (301-5)
Obeysekera 10-0-71-0
Canning* 52 (53 balls)
Sutton 5 (7 balls)

Last Wicket: Griffin c. Clayton b. Muralitharan 106 (FOW: 217/4)

Need to get rid of Canning to have any chance really, if not i expect Andy to chase my total down by the 47th over. Pretty happy with Murali's spell, 1/42 off 10, to keep us in the game, really needed Griffin's wicket.

Canning got the Ponies over the line, fairly easily in the end.

Jaffna Jets 5/301
Ellis 97 (101), Ferrier 69 (52), Clayton 63 (85)
Canning 1/37 (10) , Tedstone 1/63 (10), Erasmus 1/69 (10)

Magical Ponies 4/302 (48.2)
Griffin 106 (97), Canning 90* (78), Kilkenny 41 (48)
Dowdall 2/54 (10), Muralitharan 1/42 (10), Baptiste 1/74 (9)

Jaffna Jets Magical Ponies
Top Order: competent competent
Middle Order: competent competent
Lower Order: abysmal abysmal
Seam Bowling: mediocre proficient
Spin Bowling: mediocre respectable
Fielding: woeful abysmal

Wow, that's the first time I've gotten prof seam bowling, and it also means that I can now get a prof top order and seam bowling rating, so I'm pretty pleased with that. Bit upset that Canning missed out on his century again, but at least we won it. Full credit to Tharmi's boys though, was a very close game.

Ah well, another clobbering today. Nice to see Janes get some runs, though. Hey, man of the match, even. Heh.

Can't fault my batsmen at all with that performance, they put in a great effort. The bowlers were a bit disappointing. I think i might need to replace the likes of Baptiste or Obeysekera, with a proficient bowler, or play them both at very defensive, when i play better batting line ups. Going for 145 runs off their 19 overs, your not going to win too many matches. Oh well happy with the performance overall, next misson stop Moodley.

Code:
End of Over 41: 258-6, runrate=6.29
Bardle 6-0-23-4
Allen* 87 (75 balls)
Grady 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Padayachie b. Bardle 0 (FOW: 258/6)

40.6 . Bardle to Grady
Short of a length but Grady has missed out there, should have been a boundary.
40.5 W Bardle to Padayachie
And that's out! Absolutley no foot movement from Padayachie as he tries to cut a short wide ball but only succeeds in cannoning the ball into his stumps. Bardle is delighted!
40.4 W Bardle to Barnard
And Broomes is running around the boundary, he dives, and takes the catch one-handed. What a magnificent catch!!
40.3 1 Bardle to Allen
That looked like it came off the pads, but the umpire hasn’t signalled leg byes.
40.2 1 Bardle to Barnard
Flicked just wide of mid wicket.
40.1 W Bardle to Makel
It's snuck back in at the last moment and found an inside edge. That's why they teach you not to go fishing. Back to the pavillion he goes!
BARDLE! BARDLE! BARDLE!

Code:
41.4 W Broomes to Grady
A quick delivery and Grady is left looking back at his stumps. He's gone!
Code:
43.5 W Broomes to Boardman
Slower delivery and it's smashed, but only as far as Ndah, that's caught and out.
Oh yeah!

Code:
46.6 W Bardle to Abbey
Advanced, picked up straight to Gowshall at mid on for an easy catch.
46.5 W Bardle to Allen
That's hit him above the knee-roll. Allen won't be pleased with that decision.
Bardle's my hero!

End of Over 47: 293-10, runrate=6.23
Bardle 9-0-37-6
Sainsbury* 5 (7 balls)

Taken Got Spin from a chance of getting 350, at 256-3 after 40, to chasing under 300!
