lost to
Dynamo Morpork 195-5 (38.5 overs; Herbert 89*, Porter 56*; Stevens 3/40)
by five wickets

Sterling partnership of 100 against Viveash' fourth- and fifth-choice bowlers gives me the win. Good stuff. :)

Pretty happy with my performance against Nibbs, only lost by eight wickets, but he didn't chase my total until the 41st over:

Jaffna Jets 217 All Out Ellis 53(90), Quintin 74(103), Lee 2/28(10), Hamshaw 6/42(9.2), Mutasa 2/48(10)

Whenuapai CC 2/218 (40.1) Waddell 104(111), Lennon 90(105)

Whenuapai CC Jaffna Jets
Top Order: proficient respectable
Middle Order: respectable mediocre
Lower Order: woeful worthless
Seam Bowling: proficient mediocre
Spin Bowling: quality mediocre
Fielding: feeble woeful

My batsmen wanted to face Lee so much, they didn't score a run against him, so could face six balls ever over. I think if i played my proficient/proficient all rounder then lower middle/lower order collaspe wouldn't have been as bad. Also quite happy with the respectable top order rating, 3rd time ever i got it.

How about you take the highest NRR increase for the week that the forfeit occurs and use that?

Otherwise we could just say +/- 3 points each time.

Ah. Sorry to get your hopes up - put Reed and McGregor down the order a bit so some of my (shoddy) reserves could get some batting practice. Also so that they could avoid Hook ;)

Surprised to get a Wonderful spin rating - it was John on his own, as usual, and he usually gets me a Remarkable. Must be all that training he's getting!

Nibbs, I was thinking 300 runs & 50 overs for, 0 runs & 50 overs against.
At first glance, that's pretty much how I'd do it. However, thinking about it, that seems pretty harsh.

Looking at the results, the biggest win (Scaly's) featured a NRR of +3.7, with my +3.3 next, then Kipper's +3.0.

In that context, isn't allocating a walkover +/-6.0 going to skew the groups a bit? Maybe +/-5.0?

Actually, sod it - they deserve it :p
