Still waiting for Citizens Erased to accept the challenge - they haven't logged in for four days. I'd like a game this weekend so if it hasn't been accepted in the next say 36 hours I'm going to arrange another friendly if that's ok...

I'm not sure, I think the deal is, if you've sent him the challenge, and he hasn't arranged another friendly, yet you do, then he gets the game by forfeit.

Well I would've thought that some sort of deadline would be applicable as I would rather like to play a match on Sunday whether it's in the cup or not. He hasn't logged in to BT or CW for a few days and if he hasn't logged in after his league match today then I don't think it's likely that he's going to. As such I think I should be allowed to arrange another match without penalty. PY?

Yes, there hasn't been any need for a deadline as we havent had any situations like this. But you're right, there should be one. I am thinking 0:00 on the Saturday. Gives you 24 hours+ depending on which country you're in to arrange another friendly. Even then, how can be sure that the person who is waiting for the invitation to be accepted did wait until 0:00?

Nonetheless, someone try and get a hold of Sriram.

So guys, how is NRR worked out?! Is it 50 overs for both sides if a team is bowled out or what? Marc is saying no, Scaly and Dave are saying yes... need confirmation.

Would it be possible to get one or two weeks where there are no games? My fitness is really taking a hit here for some individual players, especially with the new training. Following my recent league match, my game against Marc is missing Griffin, Canning, Erasmus, Heard and Giles. I might have to rethink that, though, otherwise it'll be a bit of a slaughter.

I was willing to accept your suggested deadline of 3am GMT on Saturday morning before you'd be allowed to get another friendly in, just didn't get chance to post it. Could you wait until then?

How about from now on, you have until 00.00 GMT (i.e. the Bat-Trick clock) on Saturday before the friendly is scheduled to start to accept the challenge? Otherwise, game forfeited and whoever hasn't accepted loses.

Unfortunately mate, the season finishes bang on when the final will be played. You have one rest week at the end of group stages (due to there being a problem this week) but that's all that's been scheduled.

If there's a general consensus of requiring a break, I can extend the Cup for a couple of weeks longer after the season ends which'll allow quarter-finals/semi-finals to be played alternate weeks (a la Champions League but weeks in between instead of days).

Not sure why your team is so knackered though! Mine are all sublime/energetic and that's with nets included.

Yeah but you are coming first by quite a bit

I don't think there really needs to be a break, the fitness hit from friendlies is only 1/3 of the fitness hit from league matches so it's pretty insignificant. Basically you'd need someone to make a big score and bowl ten overs to lose a full level of fitness from a friendly.

Bah, was just about to accept another friendly but noticed Sriram has been on CW today (though not on BT), so I'll give him a few more hours...

Edit: 6:22 BT time, think I've waited long enough now, sorry.

Sorry, saw you were online earlier and hadn't posted in this thread or been on BT, so I didn't think you were going to accept in time.

Accepted, but I still don't get why people are worried about playing me.
Maybe because of this

Code:
	W	Middleton to Nomvete
That's gone! Nomvete chased a wide one, and the umpire raises his finger.

End of Over 1: 0-1, runrate=0.00
Richardson	1-1-0-1
Nomvete*	0 (0 balls)
Griffin	0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Sutton b. Richardson 0 (FOW: 0/1)
0.6 W	Richardson to Sutton
A great shot by Sutton, well at least by U11 standards. Richardson broke middle stump clean in half after the ball flicked the glove. That will hurt Sutton's hand and his pride.
End of Over 2: 0-2, runrate=0.00
Middleton 1-1-0-1
Griffin* 0 (0 balls)
Drench 0 (5 balls)

Hmmm...

0/70 from 14. Gah!

There's a HUGE roar from the contingent of away fans as Neil Mills comes on to bowl. What's that they're saying? "Neil Mills take me hooome"? Ah, fantastic stuff.

(seriously though, I need Millsy to perform :()
