With Wally Hammond bowling from the other end on a sticky.

He had to get wickets.
As opposed to having Arshad Ayub bowling from the other end on a track that obviously helped seamers so much that Kapil bowled a grand total of 11 overs in both innings combined?

It is close, and as much as I like and admire what Hirwani did on debut, but it has to be Verity

both superb efforts, but i'll give it to Massie because England Batting was better than India's.

I'll go Massie. Pretty solid batting line up we had there with Illingworth coming in at 8.
India had Kapil coming in at 8, and Madan Lal was a pretty decent player for a number 9.

Imran for me

Imran Khan takes his 200th wicket in his 45th Test, becoming the first Pakistani to do so. He took 5 for 3 in his last 25 balls, completing Pakistan's best innings analysis against India.
