I'm hoping for a compelling matchup sometime soon in the first round. Unfortunately, it will probably be something like Tendulkar vs. Wasim and leave a lot of people unhappy.
Yea, I randomized the names at the begining, and there aren't many actually. A couple, but not many. Which I think is a good thing, most of the deserving people will get to the next round and you'll get great matchups every time.

Dravid.

I can't wait till round 2 personally, because there'll be some cracker matches. Sachin vs. Imran, Dravid vs. Wasim etc. Could be real entertaining to read the discussion.

Yeah, Dravid for me as well. Wonderful player.

His captaincy has impressed me too; the post-tea assault against us on the final day of the first test nearly turned the whole match on its head. It was the last thing I expected & all the more commendable for it.

Lets get this round out of the way. Dravid wins it

Waqar Younis
87 matches, 373 wickets @ 23.56, SR 43.49, 22 five wicket hauls, 5 ten wicket hauls

vs.

Saleem Malik
103 matches @ 43.69, 15 centuries, 29 fifties, HS: 237

PS. Thats outstanding strike rate by Waqar Younis, thats better than Marshall.

Waqar.

Yeah SS Waqar's career strike rate is the best for bowlers who have taken more than 200 wickets I think. For a time, he probably bowled better than any one in test cricket history.

Tough luck on Malik, great player regardless of his fondness for backing himself and his team to lose. Waqar obviously.
