Battle of the Sporting Heroes

BoyBrumby

Englishman
Freddie & Johnno.

Johnno one of those very rare English sportsmen who was actually the best at what he did. Could seem to lift a team just by the force of his own considerable will. Won everything as a player.

Woods annoys me. Lots. So Fittler takes the garland in the first. Remember when he brought the ARL Knagaroos, shorn of the Super League players, for the 95 WC. I finally thought we might best them. Could we ****. Fittler was 22 or 23 and lead the team like a 40-test veteran. Rate him only behind Johns in league players I've seen.
