Battle of the Pace Trios

Sliferxxxx

First Class Debutant
Ambrose/Walsh/Bishop 37 tests
Wasim/Waqar/Shoaib 5 tests
Donald/Pollock/de Villiers 2 tests (complete crossover with the Pakistani trio)

Steyn/Philander/Morkel 31 tests
McGrath/Gillespie/Lee 22 tests
Starc/Hazlewood/Cummins 34 tests

40 for Southee, Boult and Wagner btw.
Pity Bishop couldn't have stayed healthy, they'd have played many more tests together. I know I'm beating a dead horse by saying this over and over again but had Bishop been healthy, we don't lose at home in 1995, away in 1996/97 to Australia. Still think we'd have lost to Pakistan but not so heavily.
Ditto the series in RSA.

Yes but it is what is is - Bishop was always going to be injury prone. As one group only played 2 games and Wasim and Waqar weren't the players they once were when they paired with Shaoib, I'll go for McGrath Gillespie and Lee.
