International Captain
Ruwan Kalpage? Similarly abysmal.
Tad harsh on Ganga who has 2 test centuries against Australia at their peak, and his most recent record(last 8 tests is actually quite good).TT Boy said:6. Daren Ganga
Hasn't played enough games for Aus, sorry.chaminda_00 said:Has Mick Lewis made the list yet, should be the first guy on behind Jehan Muburak
yea just noticed, its a pity, the 2 of them with Somasundar are real 'value for your money' selections.superkingdave said:Bresnan, Hauritz don't qualify
i think if you really were one of the worst cricketers, you wouldnt get more than a handful of tests or ODIs. Certainly players that were made captains of their sides(on your list) cant be considered too bad.aussie tragic said:I consider that for a "worst cricketer" list, they should have actually been given every opportunity to succeed and didn't (i.e. playing 5-6 tests & failing doen't make you a worst cricketer IMO).
Except they were all specialist batsmen averaging less than you'd expect from a good keeper or allrounder.tooextracool said:i think if you really were one of the worst cricketers, you wouldnt get more than a handful of tests or ODIs. Yes but averages arent the be all and end all, especialy overall overages.Rutherford for example had a shocking start to his career, between 92-95 his averages are actually quite respectable. Its the same thing with the rest of your players to be honest. they were not brilliant by any means, but all of them had phases when they deserved to be in the side, certainly cant be the worst ever in my book.aussie tragic said:Except they were all specialist batsmen averaging less than you'd expect from a good keeper or allrounder.
Edit: Their batting averages compare to Hadlee, and he was a "bowling" allrounder
