Battle of the CC posters.

This thing, sadly, has been reduced to a popularity contest. To me, it's high farce that Social got knocked out in the 1st round. Craig - top bloke, but he doesn't hold a candle to Social in CC. I realise it's a matter of opinion, but there are some things that are so obvious. I know it's hardly a ballot for a position on the UN, but I just think if you're going to do something, do it right. So, I counsel everyone to adhere to the criteria. :)

It's not a personal attack on him.

It's only a commentary on his CC posts compared with Social's .

There were non-popularity-based reasons why I chose Craig over Social. I'm sure others had them too; at least I hope they did.

Jeez, that's your opinion though and it's not necessarily shared with others here. I didn't vote in that round but without getting into details that would denigrate another member I can think of heaps of reasons for why I would have voted for Craig and not Social. So no, it's not so obvious.

I agree that this shouldn't be a popularity contest, but for you to come out and blast everyone for voting one way and not the other is abit harsh imo.

Plus, there are heaps of reasons to vote for someone above their cricketing knowledge. Knowing a lot about cricket does not make you good CC poster. I’m talking about consistency, well made arguments, lack of bias, common sense and so on. I certainly haven’t been voting for whoever I think knows more about the game or whatever.

Can't believe I got Fuller and Jack in the first round, no-hope.

Let's not let this lose focus on the point of the thread and the rules. Bit harsh to attack the way a vote went with particulars, would've sufficed to remind people of the criteria rather than single out a battle.

I have an awful lot of time for the old Swervemeister, but he's hardly about anymore. I'll have to give it to Cameeel.

Swervy was a good poster who added a lot to the CC forum, but I think Cameeel (its 3 'e's right? :p) is a very underrated poster. Enjoy reading his posts, even if he is a Demon supporter ;)
