Who was the better bat during their peaks below?

Lara (90 to 95) vs Tendulkar (97 to 99)

Steve Smith (2014 to 2019) vs Viv (76 to 81)

Gooch (90 to 93) vs Hayden (2001 to 2004)

Ponting (2001 to 2006) vs Steve Waugh (93 to 97)

Dravid (2002 to 2006) vs Kohli (2014 to 2019)

International Coach
Tendulkar
Smith (very close)
Gooch (Hayden more productive, but Gooch scored tougher runs)
Waugh (again, Ponting more productive, but Waugh produced great series away)
Kohli (again..... Better away in tougher conditions)

Lara's 1st test hundred was in early 1993. His peak wasn't 90-95 though he did really well from 93-95.

His best case for a 5 year peak is from 2001-2006.
Fair enough, I still think we can judge Lara from the three year peak even from 93 to 95 as he played over 30 tests.

Then I’d be changing the time period for his competition. Otherwise you’re comparing a 3 year period with 27 tests vs a 6 year period with 59 tests. No question who’d take that.

Let's say Tendulkar 97 to 99 then.

International Debutant
Tendulkar
Viv(very close, only because he was more destructive)
Hayden
Waugh
Kohli(Two ATG series in opposite conditions seals it)
