His stats ( batting average of 32 with the bat & a ratio of less than 1 wicket per match) ae really as good to put him above Bradman as a batsman & above Imran,Botham & Miller as an allrounder.
Haha, what? He was saying that the England semi-finals had a lot of old players in them. Your response is totally irrelevant.

Regardless, most of Grace's remarkable success came at the peak of his career, before test cricket was around. On several occasions he averaged 60 or 70 in a season when the next best batsman averaged in the 20s, in an era dominated by bowlers. There's no question that in terms of sheer dominance over all competition in his own era, he's second only to Bradman. Whether or not that makes him a great batsman is up for debate.

Both all-time greats (durrr.... :p), but I'd say Miller fairly comfortably. Gilly may've become the benchmark (RIP) by which all other keeper-batsmen will be judged in future, but Miller was a genuine all-rounder (the only one Oz has produced?, all due respect to Benuad & Noble) who could win a game with bat & ball and also probably one of the best dozen Aussie seamers too.

Tbf, England hasn't had many great cricketers in the 'modern' era. Australia has. [/open up can of worms]
Also us Englishmen tend to love living in the past, we feel warm and toasty in retrospect.

Hence my avatar.

Adam Gilchrist, although Miller was a great player Gilchrist really set the standard for wicket keeper batsman.
