well based on what i've read, hear & seen of them Davidson was the better bowler definately & Noble the better bat based on their records in test & FC cricket. From here its really a matter of opinion on who you think was the better all-rounder.

Monty Noble.

He is one of the early greats of Australian cricket - Lee still has to earn that title.

according to roland perry, Noble once knocked a bloke clean off a ship with a thrown apple. I've already voted, I just thought his achievement deserved an airing in this forum. :)




Perry didn't mention whether the guy lived or not.

Just a note. Terry Alderman will feature in the Battle of the Australians thanks to a screw up early on. Craig McDermott was listed twice in the top 64 on page 3 at numbers 24 and 59, so Alderman took his place on number 59. The list on page 3 does not reflect this change since I can't seem to edit any of my older posts anymore, I'm assuming the admins here have the settings that way for a reason. I've got the actual list on my hard drive.
