Battle of the Australians - Mk II

NUFAN

Y no Afghanistan flag
Alan Davidson .

Great man, read his book 15 paces and he seems like he was a tremendous player, not just for Australia but for NSW too.

Arguably our best ever left arm bowler and Benaud rated him so highly, which is enough for me to select him over the two batsmen.

bagapath

International Captain
McCabe only to keep the race close

wont mind davidson winning though. both were remarkable champs.

BoyBrumby

Englishman
Davidson for me as well. McCabe played one of the greatest knocks ever, but Davidson is arguably (give or take the odd Wasim Akram here or there) the finest cack-handed seamer of all time and was a decidedly useful lower-middle order performer too.

Ikki

Hall of Fame Member
Davidson. Hugely underrated in the sense that his name isn't mentioned much amongst the absolute greats of fast bowling.
