Gilchrist in the first. Wonderful cricketer and, dare one say it, one of the first half-dozen names in most fans' ATXIs. Underrated as a keeper for, it seems, no good reason aside from it being unfair that such a great batsman was also talented in another discipline too. The tidiness of his work has been all the more apparent now it's not there anymore.
Laxman in the second. The sort of batsman one can't help but enjoy the work of. Impossible to describe without using "wristy", but has that ease to his play that the lavishly gifted possess. Imran was, undoutedly, a great player but always comes across slightly as the kind of chap who'd eat himself were he made of chocolate.
