I'd agree, but I'm sure most people here struggled with narrowing it down to 3 nominations, so avoided nominating those though they thought would get in anyway. Or I know I did. So there should be a few obvious names get nominated anyway.

He may have been the greatest player of all-time, but I don’t know if he was everyone’s favorite. Most people would call someone their “favorite” after watching them play during their lifetime and developing a fondness for them (or watching loads of highlights perhaps). Bradman is revered, but I only know of one person on CW who actually saw him play live.
