Michael Slater
Javed Miandad (He'll probably exit this round, but my 2nd favorite cricketer after Imran. His 'fight till the last ball' attitude, fearlessness, and that last ball six are forever etched in my brain)

Courtney Walsh
Andrew Flintoff

Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi
Geoffrey Boycott

Don't say that, man! But judging by what we've seen so far, I hate to admit that you could be right.
Meh, I figured he had no chance against Flintoff, but I think I seriously underestimated the popularity of Courtney Walsh.

Or wildly overestimated the popularity of Miller.

Battle 14 - Javed Miandad (played from heart), James Anderson (nice guy)
Battle 15 - Keith Miller (charisma), Courtney Walsh (took more wickets with winners than unforced errors)
Battle 16 - Mansoor Pataudi (one-eyed tiger), David Gower (stylish player)

Wife of Mr. Sunil Gavaskar was once asked two questions by a journalist (some time in the 80s):

First: If 80 runs are to be made in the last hour of a test match, whom would you want as your batsman? - She answered Viv Richards, for obvious reasons.

Second: If your team has to bat through a full day to save a test match, whom would you want as your premier batsman? - Surprisingly, she didn't take her husband's name. She wanted Miandad, and reasoned that 'banda dil se khelta hai'. (translated to English: That guy plays from heart, with passion.)

Don't think there's ever been a guy who's saved more test matches than Gavaskar imo
That's why Mrs. Gavaskar's second answer was quite surprising at that point in time especially.

However, Miandad has an incredible record in 4th innings as well.
