Battle of Cricketers - CW's Favorite Cricketer

Magrat Garlick

Rather Mad Witch
Despite the flurry of votes for Tate, including one from a football fan, he only gets 8 (yes, including an absent vote from the sean), which isn't enough for the wildcard.

Corey Richards (1975-)

2,953 FC runs in 55 matches for New South Wales
Yeah, I don't know either, made a hundred against England in a friendly once apparently

Brian Lara (1969-)

11,953 runs in 131 Tests for West Indies; 299 ODIs
A mainstay of the West Indies team for 17 years, produced world-class output in an increasingly struggling team
Centuries against nine Test nations

Jonty Rhodes (1969-)

2,532 runs in 52 Tests for South Africa; 245 ODIs
A remarkable fielder, he carved out a niche in limited overs cricket
Batting low, he had few high scores in Tests, though a match-winning century under the clouds against England at Lord's should be mentioned

Would love to vote for Corey Richards (would have voted for him in the last round tbh) but he doesn't quite measure up to Jonty, let alone Lara.

My vote goes to Lara, one of my favourite players to watch.

Would like to see Jonty get a wildcard though.

Virat Kohli (c)
Lara vs. Ambrose final is a strong possibility I reckon. That's my prediction.

Both beloved WI cricketers who for the most part will have avoided any agendas (except for Lara vs. Tendulkar debate, but that pales in comparison to Ponting/Sachin and Warne/Murali). Always been popular on CW.
