I'm much the same, tbh. Not quite there with Ponting yet tho.
Think it's the masochistic streak in the English cricket fan; beat us rotten for years and we'll love you for it if you stick around long enough. Courtney Walsh was one of the meanest hombres ever to bounce a ferret, but he was regarded as a saintly elder statesman by the end of his career.
Anyway, Warney for me. Sachin's a godlike player and a humble superstar, but oh, Warne had something, didn't he?

This is a tough one for me. Love watching Tendulkar play and he's a quality bloke, but ultimately I have to go with the Hampshire connection, and one of my favourite bowlers to watch. Gotta be Warney.
