Now I prefer Gilchrist, but Slater was the reason I became obsessed way back in '93, so it has to be him.

Tough one. I'd vote for Slater over almost anyone else. His dickheadness on occasion is balanced out by his courage in admitting to his mistakes and coming out and detailing what was going on with him at the time.

But Gilchrist for mine. A total class act in all respects.
