srbhkshk has had 6 of their 12 hour allocation which means next in line (moi) can select, after which srbhkshk has 6 hours before being timed out. The concept is that a participant can only be 'jumped' once in the second half of their allocated time. If this proves to be too slow, I will reduce the 12 hours to 8 and the 6 hours to 4 once Round 1 is completed.

I don't think there's a need for the 2 at a time thing.

It's not strictly 2 at a time. That only comes into play in the second half of allocated time and only one "jump" is allowed in that time. It keeps the game moving IMO.
