Mrpiggy has been banned for a week for trolling and wishing a stroke on someone (please don't do that).

Scarlett, having made it plain for several years that she holds all other posters in contempt and has no intention of ever making a positive contribution to the forum ever again (not least by accruing several large infractions), has been permanently banned on forum atmosphere grounds.

slippy888 has been banned for a week for a consistent pattern of trollish, knee-jerk posting in tour threads (amongst other things) that we have repeatedly asked him to avoid.

Now a year, because there has been no alteration in his posting behaviour at all, and if anything has gotten even more obviously and deliberately spammy, hence a spamming infraction.

Condolences to all posters who will now have to find alternate places to share what they had for lunch or dinner last night.

D/L has been banned for one* month for a consistent and resolute refusal to make any modifications or improvements to unacceptable elements of his posting style (consisting in no small measure of snide condescension and thinly veiled personal attacks unrelated to the actual substance of the debate) despite many requests, warnings infractions and bans.

EDIT: One, not three. I can't add.

Weldone has been banned for a month for an accumulation of infraction points which was topped off by posting offensive infraction (light), which came about as a result of an increasingly and manifestly nasty and offensive minimisation and excusing of institutional antisemitism coupled with personal attacks. Needless to say, anything that smacks of antisemitism will have a very very low tolerance level on this forum.

weldone has been banned for a month (yes, actually this time, I double checked) for ignoring moderator instructions infractions on top of his previous infraction points that he accrued prior to his prevoius ban. These largely related to a weeks-long campaign of meta-posting and trolling objecting to his previous ban, mostly directed at me, that he was asked to stop on at least four or five separate occasions.

He had been looking to toe the line and get the trolling out of his system, but wanted to be sure he could get away with it. With the shroud of mystery around his point total he asked the moderators for it and when they would expire. The moderators, perhaps knowing all too well why he was asking, took their time mulling it over, as well as their general policy around providing this detail to everyone else. After all, the new software design would create too much work for them and they only had 15 minutes a day to spend on the site. It was only after the peeping Tom took it upon himself to let him know the point total as well as the expiry date that the information was revealed to him.

While he was appreciative of the information, 4 days was just too far away. He tried to contain his urges but the trolling came to him too easily. The posts seemingly burst out of him in the form of first trolling the site owner, then moderators in general by asking for the info he already had, but his thirst was not sated. He went after a new member with zero posts, and then trolled a whole subcontinent. The points came too fast, and he paid the price. Perhaps the trolling was too attractive, or maybe he just needed some time away from this time sink of a site.

sledger has been banned for seven days, he was caught trolling.
