Seems the World Cup has resulted in a bunch of bannings.

I guess i should visit that forum more from now onwards for some interesting action.

Btw,for How long was Sir Alex banned for?

Have to say some of the abuse he is copping here is a bit over the top,though he is banning is absoloutely correct.
And so is GIMH, judging from their posting history of the last few days.

Imagine if the same adminning was done here on CricSim. Bans would be given left, right and centre.

The fact that he's posted in a decent fashion since engaging in some antagonistic posting doesn't excuse the baiting and bringing down of the forum atmosphere that went on before that.

EDIT: I guess to clear up, the moderating team spent quite a bit of time deliberating over a number of these bans, and behaviour over the past few weeks has been viewed, brought together and used as reference. A number of decisions were made this morning when for the first time in a while most of us were all online at the same time.

There's no doubt I'm biased because I like social and GIMH (Matteh too) and am more prepared to perhaps gloss over whatever failings they're perceived to have had as posters.

Think chaps like social (Scaly would probably fall into this category too) are important for the site's discussion because they offer an alternative view to the consensus. However, unlike CW's other great contrarian, don't feel the need to (constantly) repeat this over literally tens of thousands of multi-quoting posts.

But you blokes do a hard job and fair play to you for it.

That last sentence sounded a lot less patronising and wankerish in my head before I typed it, but sentiment's genuine, anyway. :ph34r:

THIS IS THE INTERNETZZ!!! Freedom of speech etc. Some of these bans are really a farce...I hope you all enjoy your Internetzzz powers and feel really good about yourself that you can ban someone on some sports forum.
