Warner is off on a bit of a runner if reports are to be believed
***Breaking*** Pictures of Warner sitting by himself in the Hotel.

I wonder who leaked the news about the champagne and deleting.himself from the whatsapp group

The soap opera continues.

Nah I actually think this is fair enough from S.Waugh. He was a vicious sledger and hard bloke but would never have condoned anything like this. He's one of the few blokes IMO who genuinely does have a leg to stand on with this sort of attitude.
Waugh was one of the most egregious cheats from that team. I proved it with video evidence.

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
Because deep down most people who follow the game knows it isn't really that serious
Tampering isn't on. I hope this ruckus means less people use mints, sand paper etc to tamper. Ban of 6 months to a year depending upon the offense is fine really.

Stephen showing his cultured side........this thread really does have everything.
And what's he then that says I play the villain? When this advice is free I give and honest, probal to thinking and indeed the course to win the test again? For 'tis most easy th' including Bancroft to subdue in any honest suit. He's brained as stupid as the wee Warner. And then for him to tamper the ball, were to renounce his baggy green, all seals and symbols of Australian team, his soul is so enfettered to his spot, that he may tape, untape, scratch with his fist, even as Boof's appetite shall play the god with his weak function. How am I then a villain to counsel Bancroft to this parallel course, directly to his good? Divinity of hell! When devils will the blackest sins put on they do suggest at first with heavenly shows as I do now. For while this honest fool plies the tape to damage the ball and Smith for him pleads strongly to the press I'll put this pestilence into the team that we agreed for our team's sake. And by how much Smith strives to do him good he shall undo his credit with the press. So I will turn his virtue from the pitch and out of his loyalty make the net that shall enmesh them all.

-David "Iago" Warner.

Oh yes Waugh was dire. Ganguly and all happened much later. He had been captain for a while before that and he wasn't very moral.
Slightly off-topic but Waugh and Ganguly were hilarious to watch together. They seriously hated each other.

I'll try to find the video of that Toss in a One-dayer where Ganguly lost the toss then tried to pretend he'd won it and decided to bat first. Waugh's reaction was gold

Sounds like it is close to poisonous.

This could be the end of Warner ?

I think we realised in the last day or so that this is bigger than just ball-tampering.
If the reports are true that the ball-tampering was mostly his idea, then he ought to be KP-ed, yeah.

I reckon 'The Bull' is the major culprit. He was the planner and did the dirty work mainly until Cape Town.

But this investigation should get to the bottom of that.

The other major players won't be totally innocent of course.

I know I shouldn't but I feel for Bancroft. Gideon Haigh' piece I put in this thread earlier makes you feel for him even if it is slightly knocking him.
