Baggy Green ball tampering: Bancroft, Smith and the Aussie "Leadership Group"

I love the fact that CA looks like coming down harder on its players than the fame’s Governing body any other country is somehow another reason that they aren’t upholding an ideal of sportsmanship.
I hugely applaud the tough stance CA are taking over this incident. I doubt the spineless David White would be as tough if it was the NZ team involved.

David Warner allegedly told English players how he used tape attached to his hand to tamper with the ball during the Ashes.

In a brazen act during the post-series drinks between the teams, Australia's vice-captain revealed his method of altering the ball's condition to a band of England's defeated players, Daily Mail Australia understands.

It revolves around the strapping the 31-year-old wears on the thumb and index finger of his left hand. Abrasive substances are then attached to the tape to rough up or dull one side of the ball - a crucial factor in promoting reverse swing.

David Warner 'tampered with the ball in the Ashes' | Daily Mail Online

Oh dear.
He may have tampered the ball in that way but the article is questionable

1. Is Warner really that dumb to admit what he did
2. Daily Mail
3. Daily Mail

Stephen showing his cultured side........this thread really does have everything.
This thread has been pretty good tbh. Reasonable discussion all around with a minimum of trolling, apart from *****, who can't really help himself tbh

Well if one side was getting massive reverse throughout the series and the other side was getting nothing (and copping a fair share of criticism for not being able to at the time, as well), then it certainly implies to me that one side was not doing it and one side was (given what we know now).
Another funny result of all this, every side that lost to Australia in the last 5 years is going to come out and whinge that they must have cheated

I feel for Bancroft- the poor bloke copped the one Saffer cricket cameraman who doesn't spend his downtime scanning the crowd for hot chicks.

Tough stance? People creating drama and seeking attention over an issue that is a lot smaller than other key problems in the country is stupid. Why the foowark would the PM of Australia come out and pass statements on a minor cheating incident in a sport? And just LOL at people asking for the invovled players to get lifeban. It's true that the Aussies like to point fingers all the time, so people(from other nations) were waiting for an opportunity to go after them, but most of reactions I see are too over the top. People need to MOVE ON!!!

Hey I agree 100%......considering how serious this all is nearly everyone has shown the best of themselves in here. I really got to pay kudos to the Aussies here with their reactions.......this thread had the potential to get real messy and it hasnt by any means.

You obviously haven't moved on or you wouldn't be reading and posting in a thread discussing it.
