Border has a poor record on traditionally quick decks v WI.
Yeah, I rate the Port of Spain performance to be fair but I think it gets overrated a bit, considering it was a slower pitch and only Garner was really penetrative on that wicket (not even Marshall, rest of the attack wasn't much) and Garner was suffering himself.

Two epic innings by Border stood between Australia and defeat. His undefeated 98 in the first innings lasted 5 hours 49 minutes, his undefeated century in the second another four and threequarter hours. He offered not a single chance although batting, each time, under great pressure.

Border received crucial assistance in Australia's cause from other sources. The weather accounted for the equivalent of almost a full day, and finally the tailenders, Hogg and then Alderman, batted with him for the last 160 minutes to frustrate their opponents. In addition, Garner, West Indies' most penetrative bowler, was off the field for half the last day with stomach cramps.
Great performance regardless, survived almost 600 deliveries.

....wait a second.

THIS MAKES A LOT OF SENSE
According to this Babar was only just 15 opening the batting against 19 year old Hazlewood. I can’t believe this never comes up, it’s obviously absolute nonsense.

Yeah this is actually very convincing and makes so much sense, so many Pakistani cricketers have done it so blatantly that it's believable Babar would do it by few years.
