Maybe a poll is needed on whether OT posts should have an award. I see a number of people are in favour of it. Personaly, I'd prefer if they were not included.

Its a lot more threads to review and I'd prefer to keep the awards cricket related.

OT scares me and CC is my safehaven, lets keep it that way :laugh:

Just a suggestion, but perhaps in weeks where no Skull winner cannot be found in CC, an OT post can count towards it

And I'm inclined to agree with Goughy about OT, leave it as cricket awards as most of the 'humour' in OT is shooting other posters down whereas the CC stuff is shooting cricketers down. :p

Okay thanks for all the feedback, it has been very enlightening:) We will have another in a couple of months.

What has been decided:

1. Keep the awards just for CW and not include the OT section at this stage. Tbh I don't understand most of the posts in the OT section:laugh: Plus the added work of trolling all the OT threads each week would be too much of a burden.

2. We have decided to remove the SS award, it was felt that this award was the most likely to cause 'bad blood' and to potentially upset forum members.

3. It was almost unanimous that the best pic of the week should win the Eagar, so we will award it under that criteria.

4. The SS award will be replaced with the best debate thread, it will be awarded for 'best debate' and not cheap points scoring and/or insulting personal comments:@

5. We are looking for some suggestions for the name of this award, once we have a couple/few we will make a poll and take the winning suggestion (thanks to Goughy for this idea, well sort of).

6. The criteria for the name should be based on a great cricket debate, preferably between two Test cricketers, say Lawry and Greig (We would not want to use Greigy again) ideally we would like to see an award named after players from India, Sri Lanka, NZ or Sth Afr as we have none from those countries:) Although Mr Greig covers SA, AUS, and Eng:laugh: I was thinking of Murali V Warne award but again we already have Mr Warne:)

I'd go Rana and Gatting Award....they had a pretty good debate about cricket. :laugh:

I like that idea.

Anyway, the obvious one is the batting equivelent of Warne v Murali. Lara v Tendulkar.

Or name it after a recent debate thread that had the most replies.

With regards to OT awards, I propose a new set of seperate awards are created for OT in OT, with a new team as well.

Anyone?
