But Tremain has had a good season, Pattinson and Behrendorff have had a couple of games each and are looking good

A left field suggestion is to pick someone who has played all their tests in India. Peter George has had a consistent if not outstanding season.

But expect Cummins to be picked

Given that they will probably be just the net bowler, I say give to Sayers

Will they replace him? Probably will seeing as Bird is the only spare quick over there.

TBH wouldn't mind them sending Forkers over to strengthen the batting. Don't think many of our quicks other than Starc or Haze are gonna do much damage.

Actually, Cummins might go ok over there if he can get thru. But you dont want an injury probe bloke in India without some serious cricket behind him.

George getting a game because he played in India previously would be a surprising selection to say the least.

Maxwell at 6 and Pattinson/Cummins at 8 would give our team the best opportunity to win. However, I definitely think both Cummins and Pattinson would benefit from playing in the final round and most likely the Shield final too.

We will probably end up going Stoinis at 6 and Agar at 8 which is about as like for like you can get batting wise, but the drop in bowling is massive between Starc and Agar.

Perhaps Stoinis selection is part of a longer term play to create a super Henriques. Now he knows nothing less than doing a Smith will get him picked.

Hohns is still there and has been there for Wade, Mmarsh, Agar and Stoinis. Him, Chappell and Boof doesn't inspire confidence.

It's incredible tbh. He's got plenty of ability, I seriously hope he's playing in the side by the time the Ashes roll around.

Most of that is because he's been breaking down heaps too tbf.

Still there's evidence that Cummins is a bit of a golden child, they plumped for him when Harris retired in the 2015 Ashes. Granted a lot of that is for good reason....
