Hussey well behind khawajah and maybe bailey for tets, failed in one dayers inconsistent and well the contracts doesn't award contracts on 20/20 cricket or warner, christian, nannes would get contracts.
Interested ca preferred tait over brakken for one dayers.
Hodges best chance 20/0 and tests and well he retired from first class cricket.
Gather a lot are disapointed like peter george.
Would like to see 5 contracts for 20/20 players in the future added.
Means those 20/20 players have big wraps on them for signing by states now.
Dunno where gold coast would play west sydney and geelong seem fairly determined, would be sad if canberra misses a 20/20 berth.

All of them?

Haven't heard too much about Dave Hussey or Phil Jaques. And it's not as though there haven't been "difficult" personalities in the dressing room before. I think with a few of them, it really has just been wrong place at the wrong time.
Yeah nah I've heard about Jaques. Not so much that he wasn't a real good guy or anything like that, but more his intensity made him difficult in a team environment. Apparently he's much more laid back about things since his injury though and is being reflected around Cricket NSW.

Not heard too much about Dussey thoguh apart from his blow up with Manou (who is a very popular bloke I gather within Australian cricket). Think with D-Huss it was just bad luck that his extended run in the ODI side was when he was pretty badly out of knick, and unfortunately now his chance to cement his spot is pretty much gone - looks like a few blokes would have to fall over for him to get another chance, which is a shame, cause I reckon he'd go alright now that he is in better form.

Rogers and Hodge, well, Ray Charles can see that they are difficult blokes at times, that certainly isn't a secret.

Do find it funny though that the blokes who seem to have difficulties in cricket sides - take MacGill for example - seem to be the more balanced, rounded personalities. Having met MacGill a few times, he's a fantastic bloke with a lot of broad interests rather than simply cricket, which is just a game. Can see how this didn't exactly endeer him to teammates. Shaun Tait apparently is a pretty balanced bloke too and struggles a bit with that sort of stuff.

Problem with Canberra is that Cricket ACT don't want to do the hard yards to get it to happen, they'd just rather everything gets given to them. A team here would be well supported regardless of who is playing and theres nothing to stop it happening in reality.

I think canberra would have a competitive team.
But so would west sydney and geelong.
Down to the wire between the 3.
Gold coast 4th.
Will mark higgs be comets coach next year.

Jaques came off as a bit of dick to me. Introduced himself as Jaq

Copeland looked awesome in the limited footage I seen of him this year (highlight reels tend to do that). Those are some impressive numbers in grade cricket, amazing he took that many wickets in grade and also found the time to be one of the Sheffield Shield's leading bowlers.

Didn't Shaun Tait over 50 wickets in the SS a few years back? And look where he has ended up. Bit hyperbolic don't you think?
Considering he was able to break into a state side full of International quality cricketers and average 17 in first-class cricket, I wouldn't class it as hyperbolic.

Pretty suprised Warner stayed, tbh. Thought we'd be the last of the 6 states he went to - maybe Thornely will be shown the door now?

Just out of interest, is Quiney actually a specialist opening bat, or is that just where he has got a game for the Vics? Reckon he'd be a great get for Tassie, WA or Qld.

Queensland just needs batsmen. The bowling part QLD have covered, but you can't have 10 and 11 bailing you out of games. One or two more quality batsmen is what QLD needs.

Don't think that you could pin him down as a specialist anywhere. Batted all through the St Kilda line-up wherever he fitted before playing for the Bushrangers, from 1 through to 7. Pretty much is seen as having a flexible enough game to bat anywhere.

Ah yeah, one of those types. Probably explains why he's never really nailed down a spot. Seems a pretty hot and cold player though, mind.
