I disagree. From a batting and fielding perspective I think the move benefits the coordinated players too. Just the ability to face quicker and more accurate bowling is going to be helpful.

Speaking of CA. This deal that they're purposing is seriously bad for Sheffield shield players, which means it's bad for the test team. There should be more reward for being a state pro and less for being an international since it's the state pros who ultimately craft the test team by providing the proving ground for the guys who eventually go on to test level.

There's no way a guy like Handscomb would be as good as he is if he wasn't facing bowlers like Behrendorf or Bird or Tremain at state level. If those players move to AFL because it's more lucrative the Australian cricket is rooted.

Speaking of, why are AFL players so highly compensated when the sport is so damn crap? Is almost as bad as bloody soccer, which happens to be objectively the most boring sport in history while simultaneously being the highest paid.
