Tanveer sangha handed a cap aswell. 2 spinner's is odd from nsw, almost surrey esque, but still great to see him play. Not huge on this nsw 4-7, pete nevill is the only bat who averages over 30. Why are hearne or davies not playing over sangha or edwards.

Bertus should be in the middle order but because his balls have dropped he's considered too old.

Maddog wants to bat there. Seymour would have been happy to bat middle-order too, always batted 4 or 5 for Essendon IIRC.

Don’t care if he takes 500 test wickets, Sangha’s Green Shield knock vs Parra in a losing cause was still the most selfish innings I’ve ever seen. Tendulkar levels of not caring about your team.

Good day Allround so far tbh. Abbo bowling well, Sangha bowling well on debut, marnus and mad in the runs again. If jhye could snag a quick 4/5 while running through Sa with green unbeaten at the end of the day would be perfect.

Flat pitch or not, this will ease worries over Marnus' form. Disappointing to see Street get out for a low score though.

Good to see Sangha picking up a few and not going at Pope-like economy rates, though to be fair he wasn't up against much. He's got a good head on his shoulders for someone so young.

He bowled really well, was great to see. Helped that abbo had destroyed the top order and that lyon was holding up the other end, but he still minimized the bad balls and bowled some solid wicket taking deliveries. Maddog started giving him some tap towards the end and he adjusted fairly well to it, trusted his bowling and kept him boundryless for a few solid overs after lyon was taken off. Solid debut.

Would like to see a bit more swing from Richardson to see if his shoulder's right, though it's a 50/50 that the Kookaburra all is that bad it won't swing even on a wicket this green.

Speaking of green, it gives no end of frustration that they prepare these wickets for the Shield and the produce slow dry pitches for the tests.
