Congratulations to Victorian spearhead bowler Scott Boland on taking a wicket this season.

it's hard to bat out the last day of a match when you're facing the likes of Moody and Stoinis

Australian cricket is largely played on roads, which makes it terrible that so few batsmen have been averaging over 40. Seriously there's runs everywhere in Victoria and western Australia seems to turn out the roads as well now. Only early season Gabba wickets and the occasional Hobart green top seem to be offering much for the bowlers.

And Pattinson is definitely not quite the bowler he was before the surgery. He's still very good but there's a reason he took wickets at around 15 a piece in Australia and England for a couple of years.

I suspect they'll play all five bowlers, too. So presumably Edwards will miss if they do that, with Nev at six. If they decide on six batsmen, I suppose Dermo Abbott would miss out, and let's be honest he would be in every other nation's first XI as an ODI bowler.

I feel like Nev should be surplus to requirements in OD cricket at this point. His batting isn't particularly useful even on a good day.

Rubbish. Test cricket maybe. You're letting the last Junction oval match cloud your mind.

This. Give Gilkes the gloves. Looks like he could do more with the bat in white ball cricket than current Nev.

or Baxter Holt. I don't think NSW have anyone else of any quality who can keep

That NSW side looks scary good, almost too good for domestic cricket.

Victoria have rested all their quicks from the Shield game, given young Xavier Crone his first call up. Hope he actually plays, and they don't just go back to Fekete yet again

Good to see that Smith.exe updated his firmware for first class cricket for this round. He'd suffered a bug in his programming against QLD.
