I couldn't even name 15 members in the first placeThis isn't Cricket Australia's facebook page man. Name at least 15 members with quoted examples who have said Travis Head is world class and I'll grant that you have the potential to gain a very small victory by the year 2021.
IIRC he or Paris busted themselves up during the last matchAlso anyone know why Green's not playing?
Yeah I think they left Holland out because it's Perth and then decided they needed Short's offies just in case. I don't think they're especially better than Maxwell's to justify that, but on the other hand I don't think he's a worse FC bat than Finch anyway, so eh.Niggle for Green.
What about former Test 'star' Arun Finch?
Dropped for Short as they wanted another bowling option?
I would lean toward no Handscomb too. He hasn't exactly been in the runs in FC lately IIRCI would have went Arun captain, Short in, no Handscomb.
Big step up from batting 9 in Futures last season, but to be fair he did score a lot of runs doing that.Tom Andrews is the Test allrounder Australia needs
Generally 4 over the last couple of seasons, 3 in round one this year. Averages in the mid 40s with 8 tons.Big step up from batting 9 in Futures last season, but to be fair he did score a lot of runs doing that.
Where does he bat in SACA Prem?
Haha I actually had no idea he was actually a proper bat tbh. That's pretty cool. I thought he'd have been chilling at 5 or 6 averaging in the 30s.Generally 4 over the last couple of seasons, 3 in round one this year. Averages in the mid 40s with 8 tons
I love it. He can certainly bat, but there does have to be a bit of a caveat on that regarding the sort of attacks it is against. Valente averages 41 batting up the order too, Kelvin Smith averaged a bees dick under 50 when he was hereHaha I actually had no idea he was actually a proper bat tbh. That's pretty cool. I need to start the "Aaron O'Brien but not disappointing" Facebook page.
Oh yeah it doesn't mean he's going to succeed as a bat by any stretch but if Valente bowled left arm spin or Smith bowled anything at all to the standard Andrews does they'd be much more interesting players. Him being a proper top order bat at a level below who was entrusted to make big scores makes him a different prospect to the bowler-with-batting-ability I thought he was, even though I still think he'll primarily get picked as a bowler forever.I love it.
