Imagine if Tom Cooper plays the first Test
I wouldn't even be mad, just so happy.Imagine if Tom Cooper plays the first Test
Stocks in Woodster Pty Ltd have gone through the roof.McInerney not so unlucky just undone by one straightening on. Good start here from Boland, carrying on from where he left off.
Right on the mark here in that first over, brought a couple into McInerney then round round the wicket and straightened one on him. Looks a canny operator.
Green is injured, yeah. Mackin seemed to have the yips in the first round though -- got pounded at over a run a ball for twenty overs IIRC -- so I think he's just been left out.I'm taking it Cameron Green and Simon Mackin are injured, otherwise I have no idea why this David Moody experiment is still going
Thanks N00fers, just after I read that he goes and takes a couple of polesAlso just noticed that Valente made a duck and has bowled 3 overs out of 53. I know Vics have Patto at 7 but Valente to me is an all rounder in name only, like Abbott used to be.
Came in to post about this too. Lol so typical. Thanks N00fers, just after I read that he goes and takes a couple of poles
Maybe Bosisto is actually an illegitimate MarshWA sure have some faith in Bosisto. I'm surprised they didn't decide to give Whiteman a run as a specialist batsman instead given their respective records.
The problem that Handscomb has is that with his technique, test match cricket can sort it out with the quality of bowlers on offer. First class bowlers just aren't quite quick or good enough to be able to work it over properly. I certainly think he's got a pretty big future in the limited overs formats where technique doesn't matter like it does in the longer format.Good to see Renshaw and Handscomb in the runs.
Handscomb has actually had a good run lately: 22, 89, 57, 64, 80 in the One Dayers and 27, 48 (and now 85*) in the Shield.
You dont think that a bat with his natural talent can overcome his technical issues and have good series?I do. I know he had a bad run, but there gets a point where domestic runs means a bloke averaging 43 in Tests deserves another opportunity. I also rate his catching ability. The problem that Handscomb has is that with his technique, test match cricket can sort it out with the quality of bowlers on offer.
