Yeah I think it's the wrong call but I wasn't actually surprised at all. I think they're just beating it up on purpose to give them something to write about.Journos seem convinced it's a deep conspiracy.
If Twitter is any guide, Oz journos fawn over Cowan as they tend to do over any sportsperson who isn't a complete dullard. No surprise they'd get outraged by this.Journos seem convinced it's a deep conspiracy.
What is it with Queensland batsmen and injuries?- Heazlett injured
Feldman is still Queensland's best performing quick, tied with Gannon perhaps. Stanlake I'll believe when I see him. George isn't great and Cutting is worse.Lol where did you pull Feldman from
There's a dozen others at least well ahead of him, I didn't even realise he was still playing tbh
ThisHughes should open anyway. If Mad Dog plays he should bat five or six.
Yeah no idea. Out for a month with a shoulder injury. What is it with Queensland batsmen and injuries?
Think Cowan would be grateful for ~100% of the Tests he got.Smith takes responsibility for Cowan call - ESPNcricinfo
This is absolutely incredible, but not for the immediate reason you'd think. Rewind to 5 odd years ago and Simon Katich claiming that his test career was all but over because of who the captain was. Clarke got hammered and of course was called a bad bloke, and Cowan made his test debut. As it turned out, per Micky Arthur in Dan Brettig's book, Clarke would have preferred Katich in the team instead of Cowan. Fast forward 5 years, and Ed Cowan's test career ends because of the captain. What a wonderful full circle
But how, what kind of person willingly talks to Brett "OI, GREEVES, NICE GLASSES, HAHAHAHAHAHA" Geeves?there was another one the other week which was decent too. strange times
(I suspect he might have been tipped off on this one)
