Ha Dougeh tags Hopes on the grill. Hopes is a gutsy little bugger, but go Dougeh! tag him again son.

(edit) Ha Hopes has a hook at the next one and top edges it into the sightscreen - good battle.

Think Henriques may be a bit of a bolter for the A squad. His bowling seems to be coming on nicely, allied to his batting, I can definitely see him playing at least ODI's next year.

NO ODERS FOR MOZ

I love the kid but geeez he rarely does anything with the bat in ODers.

Aus A a chance though. Marsh is missing the ODer tomorrow with injury. (and you could argue Marsh should be at 8 instead of 6)

literally can't wait for the aus a team to be named so i can call it a terrible side.

Can't see it myself, although he has started well. Marsh is defo an 8 (or lower) atm, but he's taking wickets. Will be very surprised if he's not in the side.

I'll take 282 at the Gabba. It's humid at the moment so there should be something in it for the bowlers.

We've shown a tendency to fold in first digs so far this season and no Warner is a big blow, but I reckon we'll bat well into day 3 and set up a win.

Good day for both SA teams today, Pete George having his annual day out at Bellerive and Tom Thornton dominating a no-name WA attack in Futures.

I would say it bodes well for the future but, well, I'm sane.

Come on mate, you know better than to post that sort of off topic rubbish in the official New South Wales Domestic Season 2011-12 thread.

Played against Paul Davis over in England, class bowler, although got a dodgy knee. Wasn't keen on pumping out a shed load of overs, like they would've hoped.

Great to see Tommy Stray do well. Also note that he's the captain of Woodville according to a clip I saw in the paper - usually the domain of a struggling team to make an import captain straight up. Putland's Aus U/19 opening partner Cam Huckett not having a great day, he's played a lot of 2nd XI cricket by now.

Also, South Australia bit the bullet and went with Crosthwaite over Ludeman in 4 day cricket as well. Berry has long supported Ludeman, but even in Grade cricket he's never really dominated - Melbourne or Adelaide, averaging low 20s. Disappointing, as he's one of the better blokes you'll meet, and has worked his arse off to get to the level of player that he is.

Smith apparently sent down one shocking over yesterday and was mocked by the crowd. I think this guy is a promising prospect, but it really is a problem with Australian cricket that this guy by being ranked in the top ten in the contract system, is earning more coin (just over $1 million) than possibly Australia's best athlete Chris Judd gets. It's so far out of whack, the contract system.
