And not keeping. Don't see why didn't give him the gloves tbh

You went back to India in 2010 for two Tests, and lost a classic in Mohali. But you had to contend with the Champions League in the lead-up.

As a coach I was pretty dirty on that whole set-up because they changed the tour from being seven one-dayers to two Tests at late notice. We weren't allowed to take our players out of the Champions League, which I wanted to do. I understand CA's decision, but Doug Bollinger was playing four-over cricket right as the tour started, then broke down in the first Test. I've no doubt if [he was] fit and right and bowling full-time we'd have won that Test match in Mohali.

I can't imagine an AFL team would let their bloke go and do something like that [before a big game]. They look after their players as best they can for what's important; they don't compromise. That was one thing in my career as a coach I was a little bit upset about - that we didn't get 100% support from CA, and our team was compromised by that.

The move North has paid off well for Peter Forrest and Qld with a 2nd ton. Good luck to him,

i mean we've sorted out that him at 6-7 is a no-no so it was either 3-4-5. If cruickshank played I guess he would have been at 5. They seem pretty determined to keep Kat at 4 all the time instead of his floating role

Warnie to Play and Spruik BBL

I love this man, but this just doesn't sit right with me on many levels.

Firstly, it's a real gimmick having 40 something year olds who don't even play cricket anymore coming back and taking part in a professional sporting competition. It's got cheesy written all over it. It's like it's more about celebrity than it is cricket. As though BBL can't stand up on its merits without some razzle dazzle (no doubt Hurley will be strategically placed in the stands, and the cameras will pan to her every 15 minutes).

Secondly, "CA will kick in $50 000 in return for Warne spruiking the league around the country". So, we have to listen to Warnie on Foxtel tell us how good the BBL is (which he wouldn't be doing unless he was getting paid for it). If he has to spruik something, why not Tests or ODIs or even Shield (formats of the game that need a boost).

Third, I'd like to remember Warnie for the way he went out in 2007, not as a 40 something year old.

Indeed. As far as I'm concerned the great man retired years ago.

Looks like Warner has turned the corner, this was the one format he was poor at last season but he's already kicked the season off with a 50.

one good thing about smith at 3 is all he's gonna do is try to give warner the strike. could be a problem if katich and smith bat together though
