Don't see how you can put NCN ahead of Cutting, they're the same bloody bowler. Run in, smash the ball down and get it about rib height most of the time, get injured.

Except one's got a first class record to his name.
Cutting just bowls short, straight, inaccurate rubbish 90% of the time and feasts on the fact that young batsmen out of grade cricket (which the Shield has been populated with since his debuted) aren't used to facing that sort of pace. I reckon he'd be hammered at Test level especially by England or South Africa, or even in the Shield if he was playing ten years ago instead of now.

I had a pretty similar opinion of Coulter-Nile last season (if you go back to my posts from a year ago I didn't think much of him at all) but this season he's really improved his accuracy (even if not his consistency) and is starting to get a bit more movement. He's still a natural back of a length bowler but he bowls more of a Tremlett length now rather than a Cutting length and he's a much better bowler for it IMO.

Kinda cheering for WA to go the day without losing a wicket. I mean, it's not as if this is the first time this season we've picked totally the wrong team and picked too many bowlers and dropped a deserving batsman, or suffered a humiliating batting collaspe or let a huge partnership between two fairly decent but not extraordinary players form rand I dunno know, the season is over for us and maybe a huge, embarrassing lose like this will ****ing change things.

But knowing how we've performed this season Watson will make a double, Usman and Smith tons and Lalor and Copeland will slog some runs and we'll escape with a draw

PEWS and I were wrong. All hail the NSW brains trust.

Also steve smith and van der Gugten have bowled more overs than shane watson and nathan hauritz

WA have sensed that, if they declare, NSW will wind up drawing the match.

So they are going to bat out the two day remainder, with LM Davis reaching ~450.

Not enough credit for Davis and Voges. From the limited stream I watched it was plain good batting. See off the good balls and hit the half volleys.

Trent Copeland watch has him with 4 wickets from 5 matches at 106. Australian selectors made the right move at the start of the summer.
