Australian Domestic Offseason 2011

They did it regularly in the past even with McDonald playing, though. It's not what I would pick, but as I said, it's what they like to do, especially with a full strength attack.
Yeah, as you know, I'm definitely one for picking your best four bowlers for the conditions every time with variety only really being used a tiebreaker, but when you've got a bloke batting five who'd make the team on the strength of his bowling alone, your fourth (effectively fifth) bowler can definitely be picked based on factors other than purely quality.

I see your point though, that they don't think like that.

McGain sucked before his injury, he sucked while he was injured and he sucked after his injury.

A minute silence for our fallen brother, Noble One.

Interesting to read that, of all people, Jonathan Trott's considering playing. Not a guy I'd see as a T/20 player TBH.
Jonathan Trott is one of the best domestic Twenty20 batsmen in the world. The good players always find a way to adapt. He would make a decent signing for one of the franchises.

Can't think of one but SA should do it with Peter George and only play him at Bellerive.

Anyone read the follow up article on Mark Cameron? I found it very interesting that Micky Arthur was planning to be very selective with his first class games. He is going to finish with a killer record if he only plays in Perth and at selective venues throughout the country. Is there a precedence to this?

I can understand why they would do it, but you have got to pity the poor sucker who gets called in as Mark Cameron's dead wicket bitch for Adelaide.

Its a pretty good idea by Arthur if it keeps him on the park. Cameron at 100% for 6 games is better than having him out injured.
