Pattern as in whether I am following a pattern in terms of the players I am bringing on the table?Anyone else see a pattern emerging?
A pattern where Ankit is outbid and we all laughPattern as in whether I am following a pattern in terms of the players I am bringing on the table?
Or, patterns in winning bids?
Haha, that's a futile thing in the long run as I explained previously, especially if Ankit stays alert. But good for a laugh I agreeA pattern where Ankit is outbid and we all laugh

It's definitely not inconceivable that he doesn't complete a team and thus automatically loses.
Ya high possibility of Eds' point PLUS an individual player doesn't ensure anything by denying Ankit the last player (except ensuring to have a team better than Ankit's - which in itself will be meaningless for him if other 8 players have better team than both, for example). We will all run out of money at some point.
Yes, but the objective of a particular player here (take any one for example) is not to make Ankit fail. Ankit is not the only one among 9 competitors they have. They have other 8 players to beat. So, making Ankit end up with 10 players will be only 1/9th of the job done by a player. Now, is the effort and virtual money spent worth that result? If he ends with a team of 10 then he's failed though as teams don't have 10 players.
The only conceivable way that he could fail to get 11 is if he doesn't actively bid when he has the opportunity. With roughly 40+ players yet to come in, it's not possible for us to block him every single round as we simply wouldn't have the financial clout to pull it off.If he ends with a team of 10 then he's failed though as teams don't have 10 players.
I disagree. If from now on expenditure averages around 900,000 to 1,000,000 per cricketer, ankit will not get a chance. Of course all it takes is one or two of you to spend big to ensure they get someone valuable which will obviously help ankit. The only conceivable way that he could fail to get 11 is if he doesn't actively bid when he has the opportunity. $625,000
Just did some calculations and it appears I'm mistaken. We can indeed pull it off if everyone co-operatesThe only conceivable way that he could fail to get 11 is if he doesn't actively bid when he has the opportunity.
