Eyes not spreadsheets
Think I'm going to have to pull out.

With all the auctions finishing in the middle of the night, it is next to impossible for any UK based member to win any auction so there's little point in trying to continue.

Well you won Davidson.

Also, from now on I shall definitely make it a point to finish quite a few of the rounds in other times - keeping your point in mind.

And lastly, I don't think not winning a few auctions (or even missing a few rounds at this stage altogether) will impact a lot in the long run. This is going to be a long game (we are not even 8% done yet), and long-term strategies are going to matter at the end of the day - not how many players one manages to get at $1 bargain at the last minute of a round IMO.

So, request you to give it another thought...

Nah, if Marc is quitting I shall bring in a reserve to take care of his team.

But before that I shall wait for Marc (maybe till the end of this round) to respond to my request of staying back.

I guess the problem with the 12 hours is it's always going to be inconvenient to one person or other. My thought is that to have any chance of getting players who cease overnight people have to end up putting in big bids, which can then push things over the top.

So long as there is a mix then it's OK, but pretty much all of them to date have finished at 5am-ish UK time and it seemed there was a clear pattern emerging (not that I blame you for doing it when it suits you as you're making the effort to run the thing)

With that in mind I'll bid $625,000 on Turner.

Thanks, as I said from now on I shall make it a point to finish rounds at different random times in the day (after the 12 hours time, and as much as humanly possible)...though I personally don't think the outcome of the draft as a whole depends on round-ending times...
(On that note, I think the Miandad round ended at around 5 PM London time?)
