Sol probably made fewer mistakes than the young Tone did; "Adams is a donkey" was a v popular refrain in the late 80s/early 90s. Adams a better leader of men and a more inspirational player (also Arsenal to the marrow), but as defenders I reckon Sol would run him close.

Campbell's very underrated in this country for some reason. Think foreign coaches maybe appreciate him more. He was the only English player named in the 2002 WC all-star team and was again named in the Euro 2004 team of the tournament.
