Which bowler is the best home bowler of all time?

Murali may have a better WPM, but Ashwins SR is out of this world.

Murali also took on a heavier load, had much worse support and was still more economical. Its Murali no question.
Before this NZ series you could atleast try to make a case for Ashwin with "he never lost at home"; but now, I don't think there really is any solid argument for him. Would take Imran ahead too.

I went with Ashwin. Just think he was slightly more difficult to counter at home. Nobody really dominated him, except maybe Smith in 2017.

Rabada at home is literally insane.

33 matches 184 @ 19.07 10 5’fers 4 10’fers SR: 33.1!

Ashwin.

Murali don't thrive on absolute dust bowls. His best comes when only he could extract turn but others cannot, hence maximizing the gap between opposition spinners and Murali. His performance tend to plateau when the pitch wears out. But Ashwin becomes more and more dangerous when the quality of the pitch worsens. In Murali's time SL did not frequently produce dustbowls. That was the very reason any other Sri Lankan spinner failed to establish bowling alongside with Murali.

DRS might be a factor there. I also feel Murali probably bowled to better players of spin overall and Ashwin playing for India is a contributing factor.
